The Estimates for 1871 as originally passed sanctioned stood Revenue $840,980; Expenditure $838,974:
The actual Expenditure was $894,208, this shewing a net excess on the Estimates of $55,234: the actual Revenue received is not given in these papers, I can't find that we have as yet received it many returns, but as the balance in favour of Assets, over Liabilities was reduced from $154,117, on 31st December, I infer that the actual deficit on the year was about $34,000, & Revenue about $800,000,
